PANIM-PNIM FACE-inward

These sculptures capture the moment between our outer countenance/the face and the inner forces pushing and pressing the skull from within. It is the bridge between the outer world and the inner experience.

The eyes are open-- looking out and being seen, nothing to hide and very silent. From inside the force to live, participate, and be is pressing out into the countenance.

This artwork responds to the idea of relationship between giving and receiving, resting and being active. When we are awake and active, are we asleep to other parts of our being which are awake while our eyes are closed; and we are in a state of contemplation or sleep?

These sculptures need to be viewed in the round, from all sides.
